FAMILY ART PROJECT
PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE
Melissa Kaish
Founder
Melissa Kaish founded the Kaish Family Art Project in May 2016 to promote and preserve her parents' legacy to American Art. Meticulous records kept by Luise, in combination with the living recollections of Morton, allow for a rich and personal history to be brought into the digital age and made easily accessible for future exhibitions and research. Melissa learned to draw before she could walk in the MacDougal street studio loft, surrounded by artists. She works in a variety of mediums but enjoys combining traditional techniques of oil egg emulsion and gold leaf with a contemporary outlook and digital platforms.
She attended the Harvard Graduate School of Design and has worked internationally with architects and developers, including EuroDisney Paris and PDCM Yuncken Freeman in Hong Kong and Australia. Melissa holds an MBA from Columbia University in Finance and Marketing and a BA from Dartmouth College in Art History & Fine Arts.
