Luise Kaish: Fire on the Mountain is an intimate exhibition of Burntworks begun in 1976 at MacDowell and displayed together for the first time on the occasion of the artist’s centennial. It features a selection of burntwork collages from c. 1976-1981 and select related sculptures along with archival materials to examine this key period of Kaish's work. The exhibit is curated by KFAP Director Dr. Susan Fisher and is accompanied by a catalgue with an essay by Fisher and acclaimed art historian Glenn Adamson. For more on the exhibit see the review in Vogue by Grace Edquist; and SnapShot by Eleanor Heartney.

On view at MacDowell NYC, 521 W. 23rd Street, NYC.
